From cooking to kissing, how one man’s weekend unfolded through Apple’s new headset

A YouTuber recently embarked on a unique experiment, wearing an Apple Vision Pro headset for a solid 50 hours to see how it would integrate into his daily life.

Ryan Trahan, known for his adventurous content, decided to push the boundaries of the device by wearing it throughout his weekend activities. In a video uploaded to his channel, Ryan documented his experiences, showcasing how the headset influenced his interactions and routines.

From mundane tasks like grocery shopping and taking a taxi, to more engaging activities like playing frisbee and cooking a Gordon Ramsay-inspired meal, Ryan explored the capabilities of the Apple Vision Pro. He even attempted to play a game of Jetpack Joyride and found himself adapting surprisingly well to the constant virtual interface.

However, not all interactions with the headset were seamless. Ryan discovered a limitation when trying to kiss his wife, who was also wearing a headset. The clashing of the devices created an awkward moment, highlighting a practical challenge of using the technology in intimate settings.

As the 50-hour mark approached, Ryan reflected on his experience, expressing a mix of fascination and concern. While the headset provided a novel way to document his weekend, he also felt disconnected from his experiences, realizing the importance of being present in the moment.

The experiment shed light on both the possibilities and limitations of the Apple Vision Pro, offering insights into the future of immersive technology and its impact on daily life.
