 Excitement buzzes in the air as the much-anticipated trailer for Ethan Hawke’s latest film, “Wildcat,” finally makes its public debut. Set against the rich backdrop of Louisville and its surroundings, “Wildcat” delves into the complex life of the celebrated writer Flannery O’Connor, focusing on her tenacious journey to publish her inaugural novel, “Wise Blood,” in the 1950s.

The film’s lead, played by Maya Hawke, Ethan Hawke’s daughter, promises a compelling portrayal of O’Connor’s resilience and creativity. The cast also boasts notable talents such as Cooper Hoffman, Philip Ettinger, and Steve Zahn, enhancing the film’s allure.

“Wildcat” found its stage in Louisville’s St. James Court, the Shelbyville courthouse, and Frankfort, wrapping production in February of the previous year.
