Mild Atlantic front brings spring-like temperatures before winter returns
The UK is set to experience unseasonably warm weather this week, with temperatures expected to reach the late teens and potentially even hit 20°C in some parts.
This surge in temperature, brought by a mild Atlantic weather front, will provide a brief taste of spring for Brits, particularly in the East Midlands where temperatures could reach 16-17°C, surpassing those in Milan, Italy.
Despite the warmer weather, showers are expected across many regions, with heavy rain forecasted for Scotland and parts of the North.

The Met Office advises that while Sunday will see higher pressure with sunny spells, there is a risk of night-time frosts and fog. Showers are expected to develop in the west and north, but most areas will remain dry.
Mild and sunny conditions are forecasted to persist, although there is uncertainty about how long this drier weather will last, with a return to mild, cloudy conditions with rain or drizzle expected later in the week or weekend.
