Viewers of the ITV thriller “Trigger Point” expressed their frustration on social media during the latest episode of the second series. The show, fronted by Vicky McClure, returned for its second season this month, captivating fans who eagerly tune in on Sunday nights to follow the gripping storyline. Vicky McClure portrays Lana Washington, a former military bomb disposal expert and Afghan war veteran leading a Metropolitan Police bomb squad. She is joined by a talented cast, including Nabil Elouahabi as Hass, Eric Shango as Danny, Mark Stanley as DI Thom Youngblood, Kerry Godliman as Sonya Reeves, Kris Hitchen as John, and Kevin Eldon as Jeff.

During the latest episode, viewers took to social media platforms to voice their complaints about the sound quality. One user on Twitter commented, “Trigger Point great programme but with background noise and indistinct diction very hard to hear.” Another viewer posted, “Anyone else having to turn up the volume to hear what’s happening? It makes you jump in the ads. #triggerpoint.” A frustrated fan mentioned, “Volume up…..volume down……what did she say?! #triggerpoint,” while another questioned, “Why the loud background noise/music over dialogue #TriggerPoint.”

Despite the sound issues, fans were already looking forward to another season of the show. Hass Rahim, who has taken over leadership during Lana’s secondment, remains a central character. The series introduced new faces, including Thom’s new girlfriend DS Helen Morgan and Commander John Francis.

Vicky McClure discussed her role and involvement in the production, sharing, “It was so exhausting! It is physical for sure, but the most tiring aspect is that I’m in pretty much every day because even if I’m not acting I’m there as an executive producer, watching footage and writing notes on scripts.” She added, “I don’t want to be an exec just for the title, I’ve got my own production company now and I like to get involved.”

When asked about the possibility of a third season, the show’s creators expressed their hope that the audience would continue to enjoy the series. However, they emphasised that they were not yet thinking about a third season and were focused on the current one’s success.
