David Harrington, Ricky Johnson, and Clayton Mcgeeney found dead outside friend’s home after chiefs game

A Kansas City Chiefs fan, Jordan Willis, claimed he was ‘asleep on the couch’ while his friends, David Harrington, Ricky Johnson, and Clayton McGeeney, lay dead in his backyard for two days. The tragic discovery was made by police conducting a welfare check after receiving a call from one of the men’s fiancées.

Willis, 37, invited his friends to watch a Chiefs game at his rented home in Kansas City, Missouri. The men were found dead on 9th January, two days after the gathering. Willis, asleep on the couch, was unaware of the tragic situation unfolding just outside his home.

Willis’ lawyer, John Picerno, stated that his client did not find it unusual for his friends’ cars to be left overnight and was oblivious to the search efforts. Police confirmed the case is not being investigated as a homicide, and no arrests or charges have been made.

According to Picerno, investigators found no foul play in the deaths, and Willis is not under investigation. The last memory Willis has is of his friends leaving through the front door. A toxicology report is expected to provide more information about the incident.

Temperatures in Kansas City dropped into the teens on 9th January, and the toxicology report aims to shed light on why the men passed away while their cars and Willis’ house were nearby. Willis has since moved out of the home, and there are no specific threats or concerns for the surrounding community.

The tragic incident highlights the unexpected and chilling circumstances that unfolded after what was initially a simple gathering of friends to watch a football game.
