The duchess of Cambridge pays homage to princess Diana at Sandringham Christmas service with a blue Alexander McQueen coat and iconic sapphire earrings.

In a poignant tribute to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, graced the Christmas Day Church service at Sandringham with an elegant ensemble that included a stunning blue Alexander McQueen coat and a pair of Princess Diana’s double-drop sapphire earrings.

The 41-year-old Duchess wrapped up in the chic blue coat from Alexander McQueen and completed her look with customised Gianvito Rossi ‘Glen 85’ boots. Alongside her were her three children—Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte, and Prince George—who attended the annual festive occasion at St Mary Magdalene Church on the Norfolk Estate.

Adding a sentimental touch to her outfit, Kate wore Princess Diana’s double-drop sapphire earrings. These iconic earrings were originally given to Diana as part of a suite of jewels from Crown Prince Fahd of Saudi Arabia. Before her passing, Diana wrote a “letter of wishes,” expressing her desire for the jewelry to be allocated to her sons, and in the future, to their wives.

The sapphire earrings, given to Kate by Prince William after their engagement in 2010, have become a cherished part of her collection. The Duchess has occasionally transformed them into a single-drop set, showcasing her own stylish flair.
