California crash involving Tesla Cybertruck raises eyebrows as electric vehicle emerges virtually unscathed
In a recent incident on December 28, 2023, the first-ever Tesla Cybertruck was involved in a head-on collision with a Toyota Corolla, sparking discussions on social media. The accident, attended by California Highway Patrol (CHP), occurred on SR-35 (Skyline Boulevard) south of Page Mill Road.
While head-on collisions typically result in serious injuries, both drivers walked away with only minor injuries. The Toyota Corolla, after striking a dirt embankment, re-entered the roadway, crossed lanes, and collided with the Cybertruck traveling in the opposite direction. The Tesla driver, despite the crash, sustained suspected minor injuries and declined medical transportation.

Images shared on Reddit showcased the Cybertruck seemingly in good condition, with deployed airbags, while the Toyota appeared to be completely totaled.
Speculation and admiration circulated online, with users expressing surprise at the Cybertruck’s resilience. However, cautious voices reminded the community that the full extent of damage might be concealed, especially considering the obscured side of the Cybertruck.
As the investigation into the incident continues, the collision has become a talking point, highlighting the durability and safety features of Tesla’s highly anticipated all-electric pickup truck.
