On May 2, a tourist on Nantucket found themselves in a predicament when their Cybertruck became immobilized in beach sand, necessitating a tow. The tow operator indicated that the driver had not adjusted the tyre pressure for beach driving—a crucial step outlined in the vehicle’s owner’s manual. This oversight illustrates a significant user error, compounded by the vehicle’s design not intuitively guiding the driver in such situations.

In addition to the Nantucket incident, the Cybertruck has faced difficulties in snow and on steep inclines, and several units have been recalled due to a “critical steering error” and other quality concerns.
