Man arrested after leaping fence at Kelce’s Kansas home while trying to serve Swift legal papers
Taylor Swift has found herself unwillingly caught in the middle of a bitter legal dispute involving Justin Baldoni and her former best friend Blake Lively. The drama escalated earlier this month when a man attempting to serve the singer with deposition papers was arrested outside the Kansas home of her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce.
According to court documents, the incident occurred at around 2 a.m. on September 15, when 44-year-old Justin Lee Fisher, a former police officer working as a process server, jumped the fence of Kelce’s private residence in Leawood. Fisher was quickly taken into custody and charged with trespassing. He later admitted to Star magazine that while he had not been injured, he feared losing his private investigator’s license as a result of the arrest. Fisher is due in Leawood Municipal Court on October 15.
The arrest came just two days after a judge rejected Baldoni’s request to depose Swift in connection with lawsuits filed against him by Lively. The director, who worked with Lively on the film It Ends With Us, had attempted to draw Swift into his $400 million countersuit by naming her in legal filings. Swift, however, has maintained that she has no material role in the case and has repeatedly resisted efforts to involve her.
Swift’s lawyers argued in a recent letter to the court that the star would only appear for questioning if she were “forced” to give testimony. They also highlighted that she has an extensive schedule and should not be compelled into a matter that she has “no connection to.” The judge appeared to agree, noting that Baldoni’s team had not demonstrated good cause for the request or explained why they had failed to act earlier during the six months of discovery.

Baldoni claimed he was blindsided during a meeting at Lively’s New York penthouse when her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, appeared with Swift in tow. Lively later referred to Reynolds and Swift as her “dragons” in text messages disclosed during the dispute.
What began as a professional clash has since spiraled into a sprawling battle of lawsuits, countersuits and public accusations, with Swift’s name now repeatedly dragged into the fray. Lively’s team has accused Baldoni of exploiting Swift’s fame to generate media attention, pointing to a subpoena earlier this year that was later withdrawn after making headlines.
For Swift, the timing of Fisher’s arrest has only added to her security concerns. The singer has reportedly been dealing with a separate alleged stalker, and the incident at Kelce’s property has heightened worries over her privacy and safety. Witnesses say Swift and Kelce were not harmed or directly confronted during the episode, but the breach underscored the level of scrutiny surrounding the couple.
Meanwhile, Lively’s lawyers have described Baldoni’s continued attempts to depose Swift as “outrageous” and argued that the director’s tactics are more about publicity than legal necessity. They also highlighted that Swift, as a non-party to the case, cannot be expected to shift her professional commitments on short notice.
A source close to Swift told the Daily Mail that she is determined to distance herself from the increasingly acrimonious battle between Baldoni and Lively. “Taylor wants to be removed from all the Baldoni and Blake drama at all costs,” the insider said. “This is going to go on for years, and Taylor doesn’t feel she was ever truly part of it.”
As the case grinds on, it seems Swift will continue to resist efforts to draw her further into the Hollywood legal saga, even as the fallout reaches the doorstep of her fiancé’s home.
