As anticipation mounts for Super Bowl LVIII, football fans gearing up to witness the showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers must heed a crucial warning to avoid incurring hefty fines.

Amid the gridiron excitement, drone operators face severe penalties for violating airspace restrictions surrounding the stadium during game day. The FAA’s mandate designates the area as a ‘No Drone Zone,’ prohibiting aerial activities within a two-nautical-mile radius and up to 2,000 feet in altitude starting from 11 am on Super Bowl Sunday.

Furthermore, as kickoff approaches, drone restrictions intensify exponentially, extending to a 30-nautical-mile radius and soaring up to 18,000 feet in altitude between 2:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Any unauthorized drone flights during these crucial hours could result in fines exceeding a staggering $30,000 and potential legal repercussions.

The FAA’s jurisdiction extends beyond Allegiant Stadium, encompassing additional restricted zones surrounding Resorts World and the Wynn Casino on preceding days, with violators risking significant penalties for non-compliance.

As football enthusiasts prepare to witness history unfold on the gridiron, it’s imperative to heed FAA guidelines and ensure compliance with drone regulations to avoid penalties and safeguard the integrity of the Super Bowl experience.
