McBride, a licensed mental health counsellor in Florida, has a background working at various therapy practices and owns Starting Point Mental Health LLC since 2009. Despite his professional background, McBride has a criminal record dating back to 1995, with past cases involving alleged violent behaviour.
The arrest came swiftly, with McBride facing charges of first-degree premeditated murder. He appeared in court on Friday and is currently held without bond in Volusia County jail.
The motive behind the shocking act remains unclear, adding a layer of mystery to the unfolding tragedy. McBride’s violent history and the abrupt turn of events have left the community in shock.
This chilling incident follows a recent trend of horrifying discoveries, reminiscent of a school teacher’s body found in the trunk of a burned car after a home explosion in the Los Angeles suburb of Quartz Hill about a month ago.
