Gomez, commenting on the post on December 7th, wrote “facts,” validating the swirling rumors about her and the producer. 

Clapback Against Trolls: As news of the confirmation spread, Gomez found herself facing criticism from certain fans who deemed Blanco “unworthy” of her. In response, the singer-actor did not hold back, defending her relationship and expressing her happiness. She wrote, “I don’t understand. If you actually care about me. This is my happiest…I will never allow your words to guide my life. If you can’t accept me at my happiest then don’t be in [my] life at all.”
