Strictly star Saffron Barker has shared a shocking and emotional account of an armed robbery during her American holiday, saying she feels “lucky to be alive.” The 24-year-old revealed the terrifying incident in a candid TikTok make-up tutorial, explaining that she is currently stranded without any possessions and unable to leave the US.
Saffron and her boyfriend, model Josh Miln, 23, had planned a road trip from Hollywood to Las Vegas to salvage their holiday after a difficult period. They rented a Jeep and vlogged their journey, stopping at Peggy Sue’s Diner—a nostalgic spot Saffron visited with her parents years ago.
However, what started as a hopeful fresh start quickly turned into a nightmare. After just 30 minutes inside the diner, the couple returned to find their car completely smashed, with armed men having broken in and stolen everything.
“We were completely naive,” Saffron admitted. “There were lots of cars around, so we didn’t think anything bad could happen. I honestly can’t leave the US right now, and everything I had with me was completely stolen. If I’m being honest, this trip has just not gone to plan at all. I’ve suffered the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life.”
