Russian President Vladimir Putin issues a stern warning to Seoul following South Korea’s consideration of supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a strong caution to South Korea on Thursday, stating that any decision to send lethal weapons to Ukraine would constitute a “big mistake.” Putin’s remarks came in response to Seoul’s recent announcement that it would contemplate arming Ukraine, following a mutual defence pact signed between Russia and North Korea.

Speaking during a press conference in Vietnam, where he was on a state visit aimed at enhancing strategic cooperation, Putin emphasized the potential consequences of South Korea’s actions. He stated, “If South Korea supplies weapons to Ukraine, it will not like the answer. I hope they won’t do it, it would be a big mistake.”
