Prince Harry and Meghan spark royal controversy with ‘provocative’ move against King Charles

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry find themselves embroiled in yet another Royal Family controversy, described by experts as a “provocative” move against King Charles III.

The couple made a dazzling appearance on the red carpet at the premiere of “Bob Marley: One Love” in Jamaica, where they met with two individuals believed to be actively working against the King’s rule as the head of state. Former working royals Meghan and Harry were seen cozying up to Marlene Malahoo Forte, the Caribbean island’s minister for legal and constitutional affairs, who had previously declared intentions to “sever ties” with the British monarchy. Meghan and Harry also posed for a smiling photo with Prime Minister Andrew Holness and his wife Juliet. Holness had notably confronted Prince William and Kate Middleton during their Caribbean trip, expressing the country’s desire to “move on.”

While it remains unclear who invited the Duke and Duchess to the red carpet event, a royal expert labelled the move as “clumsy and very provocative behaviour.” Author Ingrid Seward remarked, “They don’t seem to care anymore about what they say or do. Meghan certainly doesn’t care, and Harry doesn’t understand the implications of his actions.” Seward suggested that if Harry doesn’t want the responsibilities of princely status, he should renounce it, emphasising the negative impact of his actions.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams weighed in, stating that Harry and Meghan’s photo opportunity with individuals associated with the republican movement in Jamaica is a calculated move. He expressed concern that their appearance, especially during a time when the Royal Family is not at its strongest, may be construed in ways helpful to the republican cause, undermining trust in the couple.

In the midst of this controversy, Prince Harry is reportedly filled with “guilt and regret” for being halfway around the world while the Royal Family faces health challenges. Princess Diana’s major abdominal surgery and King Charles III’s hospital admission for an enlarged prostate have left Harry feeling emotional and guilty for not being there for his family. The unexpected developments have prompted Harry to reassess his feelings toward his father, Charles, and other senior members of the Royal Family, as he takes a step back and reflects on the fractured relationships within the family.
