Pedestrian dies in tragic collision on Wolverhampton road, driver assists police

A man in his 50s tragically loses his life after being struck by a car in Wolverhampton, with the driver now helping police with their investigation

A pedestrian has died following a fatal collision on Birmingham Road in Wolverhampton. Emergency services were called at around 1:15pm on Sunday, February 16, after a car struck a man in his 50s. Despite efforts by paramedics at the scene, the man sadly succumbed to his injuries.

West Midlands Police confirmed that the driver involved in the incident stopped at the scene and is now assisting officers with their inquiries. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and have urged anyone with relevant information, including dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.

In a statement, police expressed their condolences to the family of the deceased and reassured the public that their investigation remains a priority.
