The singer claimed awards for best song, album of the year and best female act, completing a dominant run across the ceremony. The victories marked her third award of the evening and capped a successful showing from her nominations.
Her achievements placed her among the most recognised artists of the night, with the awards highlighting both her musical output and her growing influence within the industry.
During the ceremony, Dean acknowledged those who have inspired her. While accepting her third award, she dedicated it to black author and activist Bell Hooks, as well as “all the black feminists that inspire me to love better”.
The event featured a mix of established names and emerging talent, reflecting the range of artists recognised at the awards.
Among the winners was Stephen Graham, who was named the top performer in the TV and film category for his role in Adolescence. In his acceptance speech, he dedicated the award to his father.
Rising talent DC3 also made an impression on the night. The 18-year-old artist won two awards, taking home honours for best newcomer and best gospel act.
Elsewhere, Pharrell Williams received the Global Songwriter Award, which was presented by Nile Rodgers in what was described as a touching moment during the ceremony. Slick Rick was also honoured, receiving a lifetime achievement award.
