JoJo Siwa confirms romance with Chris Hughes in emotional London concert tribute and heartfelt speech

JoJo Siwa has finally confirmed her much-rumoured romance with Love Island star Chris Hughes in a heartfelt and emotional London performance. The 22-year-old singer and dancer dedicated a song to Chris for the second consecutive night, sending the crowd into a frenzy and leaving no doubts about their relationship.

During her performance of Kim Carnes’ classic “Bette Davis’ Eyes,” JoJo cleverly changed the lyrics to “Chris Hughes’ Eyes,” signalling her feelings openly. The audience eagerly pressed her for confirmation, and JoJo didn’t hold back. “I’ll tell you this much,” she told her fans, “if it’s not obvious, that ending lyric is very much true.”

Though Chris was unable to attend the show, JoJo made it clear he was very much on her mind. She wore his trademark orange beanie hat and shared that she had spent the previous evening with him. “This morning I woke up and all I heard was [sings ‘Nobody Can Change Me’] — he was singing,” she explained. “So I figured today I’d bring a little bit of him while I sing this next song.”

As the night progressed, JoJo’s emotions deepened. The show’s finale saw her break down in tears as she addressed her fans with raw honesty. “London, can I just say, as Joelle, a very serious thank you,” she began. “I’m going to take my last two minutes to get a little deep with you all.”

JoJo revealed that she has endured difficult phases throughout her life, sharing how, since the age of nine, she has sometimes been one of the most hated people in the world. “I’m not asking for sympathy, it’s OK, but I’ve been hanging onto things that are out of my control,” she confessed. “It was really, really bad when I was 14. But right now, personally and professionally, I feel incredibly loved.”

Her heartfelt admission struck a chord with the audience, as she expressed a sense of gratitude and peace. “Nights like this, I don’t cry that often,” she said, wiping tears away. “It just really hit me — I can be up here and sing my songs and commit to the bit, but I want you to know inside my heart is smiling.”

JoJo’s message was clear: despite the struggles she’s faced, she now feels “so loved and so special” in her life. She urged anyone enduring hardship to “just keep pushing troops” because “it gets good.”

Outside the stage, JoJo’s relationship with Chris Hughes has blossomed since they left Celebrity Big Brother last month. The pair have kept close contact, jet-setting together and spending quality time. Chris joined JoJo’s birthday celebrations, partying with her family and friends in Mexico before accompanying her to Orlando, Florida, for the launch of Universal’s Epic Celestial Carpet Opening Celebration.

Most recently, JoJo returned to Chris’ Surrey farmhouse, where the couple were captured in an intimate moment. Chris shared a cosy photo of them cuddling in bed, watching the comedy Dumb and Dumber, showing the couple’s easy comfort and growing bond.

Since their public reunion, fans have eagerly followed the pair’s journey from speculation to solid romance. JoJo’s open declaration during her London concert leaves no doubt she is smitten and cherishing this new chapter in her life.
