Novak Djokovic pulls out of Serbia’s Davis Cup tie against Denmark after suffering a hamstring injury
Novak Djokovic has been forced to withdraw from Serbia’s Davis Cup tie against Denmark due to a hamstring injury. The 37-year-old tennis legend, who recently secured his 24th Grand Slam title, is sidelined by the same hamstring issue that caused him to retire from his Australian Open semi-final match against Alexander Zverev last week.
Djokovic, visibly frustrated after losing the first set to Zverev, was booed off the court by some Australian Open fans. In the aftermath, he posted a photo of an MRI scan of his left hamstring on social media, adding a cheeky caption: “Thought I’d leave this here for all the sports injury ‘experts’ out there.”

“We are weakened by not playing Novak, but we are still going for the win,” said Troicki. He added that while Denmark’s Holger Rune is a formidable opponent, he has confidence in Serbia’s players and their ability to compete at a high level.
This injury comes as a significant blow to Djokovic, who has been battling physical setbacks throughout his career. However, with the Davis Cup still in play, Troicki and his team will need to rally together to push forward without their star player.
