Duchess of Sussex misses out on reunion with former co-stars amid spin-off speculations

Meghan Markle’s absence from both a Super Bowl commercial featuring her former Suits co-stars and the planned reboot of the hit legal drama has sparked speculation and disappointment among fans.

While Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman, and Sarah Rafferty are set to reunite in a new Super Bowl commercial for e.l.f. Cosmetics, Meghan Markle will not make an appearance alongside them. Directed by Zach Woods, the ad will showcase the Suits legal team in a courtroom scene presided over by none other than the iconic Judge Judy.

Rick Hoffman, one of Meghan’s former colleagues, expressed his awe at meeting Judge Judy, admitting to feeling starstruck in her presence. Meanwhile, Meghan’s absence from the commercial has left fans wondering about the reasons behind her exclusion.

Adding to the disappointment, it was recently confirmed that Meghan will not be part of the planned spin-off show of Suits. Despite speculation that a character named Erica seemed tailored for Meghan, sources suggest that the Duchess of Sussex declined the opportunity to return to acting. Instead, Meghan proposed involvement behind the scenes through her production company Archewell, but this idea was reportedly rejected by NBC.

Meghan’s departure from the original Suits cast in the season seven finale, where her character Rachel Zane tied the knot with Mike Ross (played by Patrick J. Adams) and moved to Seattle, left fans hopeful for a potential return. Patrick Adams himself expressed his desire for Meghan’s comeback, indicating that he hopes she will reprise her role.

Meghan has previously spoken warmly about her time on Suits, describing the cast as a “family” during a 2017 appearance at the ATX Television Festival. However, her absence from both the Super Bowl reunion and the reboot venture has left fans disappointed and eager for further clarification on her future projects in the entertainment industry.
