Why would anyone do this to him? He does nothing wrong. My family want justice,’ his devastated mother said, as anger and disbelief swept through the community. Greater Manchester Police have acted swiftly, arresting five individuals—including two boys aged 14 and 16 on suspicion of murder, and two others on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All remain in as detectives launch a major hunt for answers, scouring CCTV, seeking dashcam footage, and knocking on doors for the truth. The incident has not only shattered a family but shaken a school, with teachers describing Ibrahima as an inspiration to staff and students alike for his compassion and strong sense of social justice.

This senseless act of violence has reignited calls for tougher sentencing and a crackdown on knifecrime. As Manchester mourns the loss of a promising young life, there’s a burning demand for justice—and a plea that no other family should face such heartbreak on our streets.
