80-year-old pronounced dead sees extraordinary recovery following pothole-induced resurrection

In a miraculous turn of events, an 80-year-old man declared dead by doctors experienced a revival after his ambulance hit an unexpected pothole. Darshan Singh Brar, hailing from Haryana, India, had been battling poor health and was placed on a ventilator for four days. Subsequently, doctors conveyed the heartbreaking news of his demise, leading to preparations for his funeral rites.

Brar’s grandson, Balwan Singh, shared that as the ambulance transported his supposedly lifeless grandfather to Nissing for the final rites, an unforeseen encounter with a pothole altered the course of events. Balwan’s brother, seated with Brar in the ambulance, noticed signs of life, prompting a reevaluation of his condition.

The elderly man was swiftly taken to the nearest hospital, where medical professionals confirmed his unexpected resurgence. Presently receiving critical care in the ICU at Karnal’s hospital, Brar faces health challenges despite stabilized blood pressure and pulse. Doctors highlight chest infections and labored breathing as ongoing concerns.

Dr Netrapal from Rawal Hospital expressed uncertainty about the events leading to the initial declaration of death, stating, “We don’t know what happened at the other hospital, whether it was a technical error or something else.” Balwan, however, deems the incident a ‘miracle,’ expressing hope for his grandfather’s recovery.

Acknowledging the extraordinary circumstances, Balwan stated, “It is a miracle. Now we are hoping that my grandfather recovers soon. Everyone who had gathered to mourn his death congratulated us. It is God’s grace that he is now breathing, and we are hoping he will get better.”
