Actress emotional as her son Luai encounters her iconic film for the first time

In a touching revelation on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Lindsay Lohan described a poignant moment involving her son, Luai, and her breakout film, “The Parent Trap.”Lindsay Lohan, who welcomed Luai, her “beautiful, healthy son,” with husband Bader Shammas in July 2022, found her baby watching the movie that launched her career when she returned home from filming a recent project.

The actress recounted how she opened the door to find Luai engaged with the film, not yet aware that the twin characters, Hallie Parker and Annie James, were portrayed by his mother. Moved by the sight, Lohan shared, “I just started to cry because I’m like, he doesn’t even know that’s mommy yet. I was like, do I turn it off? And he was kind of just staring. Because maybe, my voice is still similar to how it was then, so I was like, maybe he knows a little bit that it’s me ‘cause it sounds like me. But it was a really magical moment. I took tons of pictures of it.”

“The Parent Trap,” a remake of the 1961 classic, marked Lohan’s film debut in 1998, presenting her in the dual roles of estranged twins Hallie and Annie, who conspire to reunite their separated parents.
