Liam Gallagher says Oasis’ fate lies with him and Noel, not their manager, amid reunion buzz.

Liam Gallagher has pushed back against claims made by Oasis’ manager that the legendary Britpop band has no plans for new music or further tour dates, insisting the real decision-makers are himself and brother Noel — or as Liam puts it, “ME n RKID.”

The remark came after manager Alec McKinlay suggested in an interview with Music Week that fans should not expect any new material from Oasis, nor anticipate more shows beyond their heavily hyped 2025 reunion tour.

“This is very much the last time around, as Noel’s made clear in the press,” McKinlay said. “It’s a chance for fans who haven’t seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to. And no, there’s no plan for any new music.”

His statement caused a stir, especially with fans still clinging to hopes of new material from the band that once defined a generation. Social media buzzed with questions, disbelief, and disappointment — until Liam stepped in.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the singer didn’t mince his words when a fan asked if it was really “very biblical” to rule out future plans. Liam’s reply? Direct and trademark Gallagher: “Neither do I and the only people that will be making any kind of decisions on the future of OASIS will be ME n RKID so let’s just take it one day at a time.”

The message was loud and clear: don’t write off Oasis just yet.

While the band’s reunion has already drawn massive anticipation, particularly for their scheduled headline shows at Knebworth — the site of their historic 1996 gigs — speculation over new music has remained at fever pitch. McKinlay’s comments poured cold water on those expectations, but Liam’s statement reignited belief that the story isn’t finished.

The mention of “RKID” — Liam’s well-worn nickname for Noel — adds a layer of ambiguity. For years, the brothers’ infamous feuds seemed to rule out any form of reconciliation. But with the 2025 tour officially on, it’s clear they’ve found at least some common ground.

Still, the tension between the band’s inner circle and its central duo isn’t new. While managers often play mouthpiece for broader plans, Oasis has always thrived on unpredictability and contradiction — often voiced through Liam’s unfiltered public persona.

In the same vein, Liam’s rebuttal of McKinlay’s claims appears as much about control as it is about possibility. Oasis has always been a band driven by the dynamic, sometimes volatile, relationship between its founding brothers. Suggesting that their fate lies with a third party — even one as close as their manager — was never going to sit quietly with Liam.

For fans, his response may be the lifeline they were waiting for.

Even if nothing is yet confirmed beyond the reunion tour, Liam’s words hint that the door isn’t entirely closed on the prospect of new Oasis music. Whether that’s wishful thinking, strategic teasing, or a genuine sign of plans yet to come remains to be seen.

For now, as Liam says, “let’s just take it one day at a time
