Leeds United crush Bristol City 4-0 to move within touching distance of the Championship crown.

Elland Road roared in celebration on Saturday night as Leeds United stormed to a 4-0 victory over Bristol City, putting themselves within one win of securing the Championship title.

In their final home game of the season, Daniel Farke’s side delivered a performance full of swagger and determination. Already assured of Premier League promotion after a triumphant campaign, Leeds were in no mood to take their foot off the pedal as they dismantled a Bristol City side desperate for a play-off place.

The atmosphere was electric even before kick-off, with fans treating the match as an early promotion party. But on the pitch, Leeds showed there was serious business still to be done.

Ao Tanaka opened the scoring midway through the first half, sending the home crowd into raptures. The Japan international pounced on a loose ball and fired a precise finish beyond the helpless Robins’ goalkeeper, setting the tone for the night.

Leeds doubled their lead before the break when Crysencio Summerville danced through the Bristol defence and slotted home coolly. The visitors, who needed a win to boost their play-off hopes, looked stunned and overwhelmed by the Whites’ relentless energy.

After the interval, Leeds continued their dominance. Joel Piroe added a third with a powerful header from a pinpoint delivery, leaving Bristol City’s defenders flat-footed. Moments later, the rout was complete when Archie Gray smashed home from the edge of the box, capping off a perfect evening for the hosts.

For Bristol City, it was a brutal reality check. They barely troubled Leeds keeper Illan Meslier and looked second-best throughout, their slim play-off hopes now hanging by a thread.

For Daniel Farke, this win edges him closer to a third Championship title as manager, having previously lifted the trophy twice with Norwich City. If Leeds secure victory in their final game, the title will be theirs once again.

Supporters sang long after the final whistle, soaking in a memorable night at Elland Road. After a rollercoaster season filled with last-minute drama and standout performances, Leeds fans can now dream of brighter days in the Premier League under Farke’s assured leadership.

The final step remains, but on this evidence, Leeds United are charging towards the title with unstoppable momentum.
