Speaking to local media, Des Champs’ friend Tim Clements offered insight into the climber’s motivations, describing him as a passionate advocate for a cause he believes in wholeheartedly.
Clements revealed, “He is willing to die for this cause, that is what he always says in his interviews. He says that it is worth it if he can save a baby.”
Dubbed the ‘pro-life Spider-Man’ by himself and his supporters, Des Champs and his circle are staunchly anti-abortion, leveraging their stunts to raise funds and awareness for their cause.
