Kim Kardashian’s acting and ‘All’s Fair’ receive scathing reviews as the series opens with a shocking 0% Rotten Tomatoes score

Kim Kardashian’s much-anticipated legal drama, All’s Fair, has officially launched, but the response from critics has been nothing short of catastrophic. As of the release of this article, the show has earned a grim 0% on Rotten Tomatoes based on the few reviews submitted so far. The rating has come as a shock, especially considering the high-profile cast, including Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, and Glenn Close.

The series, created by Ryan Murphy, Jon Robin Baitz, and Joe Baken, tells the story of a group of female divorce attorneys who leave a male-dominated firm to start their own powerhouse practice. The plot promises high-stakes drama, fierce women battling for justice, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances within the courtroom and among themselves.

Kardashian stars as Allura Grant, the ambitious attorney at the centre of this whirlwind drama. She is joined by Watts, who plays Liberty Ronson, and Niecy Nash-Betts as Emerald Green. However, despite the promising premise and star-studded cast, the show has failed to impress critics.

In her review, Angie Han of The Hollywood Reporter wrote that Kardashian’s performance was “stiff and affectless,” noting that both her portrayal and the writing lacked authenticity. Han stated that the show was “exactly what the writing, also stiff and affectless, without a single authentic note, merits.”

Lucy Mangan of The Guardian also joined the chorus of disappointed critics, calling the series “fascinatingly, incomprehensibly, existentially terrible.” Mangan’s review described All’s Fair as so “awful” that it “feels almost contemptuous,” an opinion that only adds to the growing pile of negative assessments.

Despite its rocky start, All’s Fair has not been without its supporters. The series has managed to garner a 48% user rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on fewer than 50 verified user reviews. However, that score remains far from favourable, leaving questions about whether the show can recover or find an audience among viewers.

All’s Fair is now streaming on Hulu, and while the first three episodes have already aired, the future of the series seems uncertain given the overwhelming criticism it has received from the press.

For Kardashian, known for her ventures beyond reality television, this marks another high-profile project in her expanding acting career. However, based on these reviews, the series may not be the success she had hoped for.As All’s Fair continues its run, viewers will be left wondering whether the series can redeem itself or if the scathing reviews will prove to be a turning point for the reality TV mogul’s foray into scripted television.
