Perry and Bloom sail off on Koru just days after announcing the end of their nine-year relationship

Just days after publicly confirming the end of their nine-year relationship, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were spotted looking anything but estranged—lounging together aboard Jeff Bezos’ $500 million superyacht, Koru, off the Italian coast.

Photos obtained by PageSix show the pop superstar and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor holidaying in style with their four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, near Capri. Perry, 40, was seen strolling the yacht deck in a sleek black bikini, while Bloom, 48, was captured mid-play, tossing Daisy joyfully into the air. Later, the trio were photographed walking through the scenic streets of Capri as a family.

The surprise outing raised eyebrows due to its timing, coming just days after representatives for both stars released an official statement confirming they’d called time on their romance.

“Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,” the joint statement read. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is—and always will be—raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”

While the statement was measured, their very public appearance on one of the world’s most luxurious yachts has reignited speculation about the nature of their split—and the future of their bond.

The couple first met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016 and were soon inseparable. Though they took a year-long break in 2017, their love story found new life in 2018, and Bloom proposed romantically on Valentine’s Day 2019. The arrival of their daughter in 2020 seemed to cement their partnership—but as the statement now reveals, they’ve been slowly evolving toward a different chapter.

Neither Perry nor Bloom has publicly commented on the breakup. However, Bloom posted two cryptic quotes to Instagram Stories in the days following the announcement. The first, a line from psychiatrist Carl Jung, read: “Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself.”

The second post read: “We are not what happened to us, we are what we choose to become.”

Perry, meanwhile, appears to be channelling her emotions into her music. On 30 June, she wrapped the Australian leg of her Lifetimes World Tour with an emotional performance at Adelaide Entertainment Centre. A fan video posted on X captured the singer holding back tears as she made a heart shape with her hands and thanked the crowd.

“Thank you for always being there for me, Australia. It means the world,” she said, before launching into her hit Firework.

Interestingly, Perry did not attend the extravagant Venice wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez, which took place just days before the yacht sighting. Bloom did attend solo, while Sánchez later posted an affectionate comment on Perry’s Instagram: “We miss you, Katy ❤️.”

Whether this Italian yacht reunion marks a friendly co-parenting holiday or a hint of reconciliation remains unclear. But what’s certain is that Perry and Bloom seem committed to keeping things harmonious—for Daisy, and perhaps for themselves too.
