The 47-year-old star undergoes fresh tests after pain in the finger once struck by cancer
Katie Price has revealed her fears of facing cancer again, 23 years after she first battled the disease.
The 47-year-old reality TV star disclosed that she is undergoing medical tests after noticing worrying symptoms in the same finger where she was diagnosed with cancer during her pregnancy with eldest son Harvey in 2002.
Speaking on her podcast with sister Sophie, Katie Price explained she had been experiencing a recurring pain in her finger for the past three weeks. Concerned by the persistence of the discomfort, she is now awaiting an X-ray and further examinations.
“This better not be my bad news,” she said, admitting the wait for results has left her anxious. “Normally in my life something good happens and then something bad happens. Let’s hope it’s nothing bad.”
Doctors have already identified a low blood platelet count, which could explain her recent fatigue and weight loss. “I’m tired, no energy,” Price said. “They [the doctors] said it can affect that and I think you might have to have a blood transfusion to get them [the platelets] back up again. So I’ve got to go back and have my bloods done again.”

At the time, a lump appeared on her finger, which she initially dismissed as an injury from horse riding. “For some who didn’t know, when I was pregnant with Harvey I got cancer,” she explained. “If you look at my finger, there is like a hole there and a scar there, I had it cut out twice.”
She underwent years of scans and monitoring before being declared cancer-free. “I had to have MRI scans and all of that for six years until I was clear,” she told her sister.
Now, she has noticed another lump forming on the same finger, bringing back the memories of her previous battle. “It still hasn’t gone,” she admitted. “So I’m going to get that X-rayed and looked at.”
The star, known for her tumultuous career and personal life, insisted she is staying hopeful and focusing on her current projects while waiting for medical clarity. This week, she celebrated unexpected chart success when her 2017 single topped the iTunes charts, prompting her to announce a new collaboration with a former X Factor contestant.
Price, who has faced decades in the public eye since her days as glamour model Jordan, said she wants to stay on a “positive wave” despite her latest health fears.
Her revelation drew sympathy from fans, many of whom took to social media to send her messages of support. The frank discussion of her symptoms and past struggles was typical of Price, who has long been known for speaking openly about her health and personal battles.
As she awaits the results of further scans and blood tests, the star remains cautious but determined not to let fear overwhelm her. “Let’s hope it’s nothing bad,” she repeated, underscoring the mix of apprehension and resilience that has marked her life and career
