The Princess of Wales made a rare remark about Princess Charlotte’s school activities while she and Prince William grapple with a major decision regarding Prince George’s education.

The Princess of Wales has given a rare glimpse into her children’s school life, revealing a surprising detail about Princess Charlotte’s routine while she and Prince William face a pivotal decision regarding Prince George’s next academic move.

During Monday’s St Patrick’s Day parade at Wellington Barracks, Princess Kate joined military personnel and their families for a formal engagement. Major General Sir Chris Ghika and Lt Col Ben Irwin-Clark greeted her warmly as she met with officers’ wives and senior soldiers inside.

In a candid moment, Carice Irwin-Clark, wife of Lt Col Ben Irwin-Clark, shared how often she and Kate crossed paths at school sports matches. “We so often see you at matches because our girls are always playing each other. They are at Farleigh and Lambrook, so I think there’s stiff competition,” she remarked.

Carice’s daughter shares the same school year as Princess Charlotte, making the friendly rivalry between the two schools even more personal. Kate, known for her down-to-earth approach to parenting, responded with a smile. “I was just saying, they’re doing so much, sporting events,” she commented.

With spring bringing warmer temperatures, Carice joked, “Now it’s getting a bit nicer for a spectator.”

While Kate’s casual remarks about Charlotte’s activities offered a rare peek into her children’s lives, the bigger question looming over the royal family revolves around Prince George’s education. The young prince is set to leave Lambrook School, but the future remains uncertain.

Speculation continues over whether he will follow in his father’s footsteps to Eton or take a different path at Marlborough College, his mother’s alma mater. The decision could shape George’s formative years, balancing royal traditions with the modern expectations of the monarchy.

Sources close to the royal family suggest that Kate and William are weighing their options carefully, wanting to ensure the best environment for their eldest son. Eton, with its deep royal connections, appears to be the natural choice. However, Kate’s personal ties to Marlborough might make it a strong contender, offering a different educational experience than the one William had.

As the public eagerly awaits an official announcement, the Waleses remain tight-lipped about their final decision. Meanwhile, Kate’s comment about Charlotte’s school routine has provided a rare moment of insight into the family’s everyday life, reminding royal watchers that even future kings and queens face the same school-day dilemmas as any other child.
