The Inside Story,” it is revealed that Kate Middleton opted to stay behind and prepare her three children for their new school term instead of traveling to Scotland. While Prince William rushed to be with the Queen, Kate took charge of overseeing her children’s important school transition.

An insider at the time mentioned, “It was by luck rather than judgement, but it made it a lot easier to tell Harry that he was coming alone.” This revelation gives context to Prince Harry’s decision to travel to Scotland without Meghan. Despite his inquiries about travel arrangements, Prince William reportedly did not respond to Harry’s text, avoiding a potentially difficult conversation.

In his book, Hardman wrote, “‘Clearly, Prince William did not regard this as the appropriate moment for the intensely difficult conversation he needed to have with his brother.” The Duke of Sussex, who was in the UK with Meghan at the time, alleged in his biography that he texted Prince William about travel arrangements, receiving no reply.

The Duke of Sussex was eventually informed by King Charles to travel without Meghan, as the Duke’s team had “all the numbers” to make the necessary arrangements.
