The legendary metal band will tour Europe next summer, marking 35 years since the release of their iconic album.

Judas Priest has confirmed the dates for their much-anticipated 2025 **Shield of Pain Tour**, set to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their seminal album *Painkiller*. This European tour will see the iconic heavy metal band, led by Rob Halford, performing in multiple countries, including Norway, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, France, and Luxembourg. The tour is expected to include a rare and unique set, blending fan favourites with deep cuts from their extensive catalogue.

The *Shield of Pain Tour* was announced earlier this week, with Judas Priest taking to social media to reveal the exciting news. The band promised that the summer trek would offer a truly memorable experience for fans, with Halford and the band defending the “metal faith” in spectacular fashion.

The *Painkiller* album, which was released on 14th September 1990, continues to be one of Judas Priest’s most beloved records. With tracks like “Painkiller” and “A Touch of Evil,” the album helped solidify the band’s reputation as one of the leading forces in heavy metal. It was also the last album to feature Rob Halford before his departure in 1992, though he would return to the band more than a decade later.

Fans in the UK will need to look elsewhere, as there are currently no UK dates listed for the 2025 tour. However, Judas Priest’s European leg promises to be a true celebration of their legacy and the groundbreaking *Painkiller* album that shaped the heavy metal genre.
