Wrestling legend’s promotional stunt for upcoming film ‘Ricky Stanicky’ leaves fans in fits of laughter

John Cena, the WWE superstar turned actor, has once again captured the spotlight, but this time it’s not for his wrestling prowess or acting skills. The 46-year-old has taken a surprising leap into the world of OnlyFans, leaving fans both baffled and amused by his latest venture.

Known for his charismatic presence in the wrestling ring and on the big screen, Cena’s foray into the subscription-based platform has sent WWE fans into a frenzy, especially after his cheeky promise of ‘fisting action’ in a recent social media post. “New OF Video Drop. More fisting than you may be ready for. R U BRAVE ENOUGH?” Cena teased on X (formerly Twitter), leaving followers in disbelief and laughter.

The announcement sparked a wave of reactions, with one user asking, “Am I reading wrong or is John Cena really doing OnlyFans?” while another lamented, “My childhood is being ruined by the second.” However, fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Cena’s OnlyFans account is not what it seems.

In reality, the account is a clever marketing stunt for Cena’s upcoming film, “Ricky Stanicky,” set to premiere on March 7 on Prime Video. The account’s bio describes Ricky Stanicky as a “renowned impersonator, philanthropist, investment banker, socialite, cancer survivor, and method actor,” offering subscribers “SPICY pics and vids.”

The movie follows three childhood friends, played by Zac Efron, Andrew Santino, and Jermaine Fowler, who invent an imaginary friend named Ricky Stanicky to escape trouble. As their partners grow suspicious, the trio hires a washed-up actor and celebrity impersonator, ‘Rock Hard’ Rod, portrayed by Cena, to bring their fictional friend to life.

While Cena’s OnlyFans account is filled with short, safe-for-work videos, it doesn’t shy away from playful innuendos. From arts and crafts content hinting at ‘scissoring’ to footage of Cena devouring a sub with the caption “watch me put all six inches in my mouth,” the account is a treasure trove of humour and promotion for his film.

As the buzz around Cena’s unexpected OnlyFans stint continues to grow, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of “Ricky Stanicky” and the wrestling icon’s performance in this comedic role.
