The actress showcased a futuristic look from Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2024 collection at the Los Angeles event
Jennifer Connelly, renowned for her impeccable style, brought futuristic elegance to the red carpet at the premiere of “Dark Matter,” a new series set to debut on Apple TV+. The event, held in Los Angeles, saw the Oscar-winning actress step out in a striking ensemble from Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection.
Dressed by her stylist Leslie Fremar, who is known for her work with A-list celebrities like Charlize Theron and Taylor Russell, Connelly wore a belted jacket paired with a coordinated top and skirt, all by Louis Vuitton. The outfit was completed with sleek ankle boots and a petite white malle bag, adhering to the evening’s avant-garde aesthetic. Her accessories were understated yet elegant, featuring a simple silver stud earring and a chain.
The premiere not only highlighted Connelly’s fashion-forward look but also marked a significant moment for Louis Vuitton. The Fall 2024 collection, unveiled at Paris Fashion Week in March, represented the 10th anniversary of Nicolas Ghesquière’s tenure as the women’s creative director at the storied French fashion house. Ghesquière himself penned a note left on each seat at the show, stating, “It’s a beautiful journey. I’m continuing it,” signalling his ongoing commitment to the brand after renewing his contract last November for another five years.
The collection, praised by critics, included futuristic interpretations of sportswear and was described as a “distillation” of Ghesquière’s work at the brand. It featured innovative designs like a graphic two-tone windbreaker with a curved zipper and a silver flight suit adorned with scarification marks. The runway also saw K-pop star Felix of Stray Kids, donning an embroidered white turtleneck paired with metallic track pants, adding an international flair to the fashion presentation.
“Dark Matter,” adapted from Blake Crouch’s novel, delves into the story of Jason Dessen, who is kidnapped and thrust into an alternate reality. The series explores themes of identity and reality as Dessen struggles to return to his family and prevent his other self from harming them. Alongside Connelly, the series stars Joel Edgerton and Jimmi Simpson, promising a compelling mix of suspense and science fiction.
As Connelly’s look from Louis Vuitton mesmerized attendees and fans online, it underscored the seamless blend of contemporary fashion with thematic elements of her latest television project, setting a high bar for celebrity red carpet-appearances
