Police investigations are ongoing, and the authorities are appealing for information, including any CCTV or dashcam footage related to the incident that occurred on the A34 Kingsway just before 1.40 am on Tuesday. The victim and the suspect were believed to be in separate vehicles leading up to the junction of Parrs Wood Lane to Queensway, where the fatal altercation transpired. The suspect fled the scene in their vehicle.

Detective Inspector Alex Wilkinson of Greater Manchester Police commented on the case, stating, “While the motive for this murder is not clear at this stage, we do believe the incident to be isolated.” He acknowledged the impact of road closures on the community and assured that the investigation aims to understand the circumstances fully and identify those responsible.

DI Wilkinson further added, “You may notice an increased visible presence in the area, and officers are there to listen to any concerns and assist people making travel journeys, particularly those traveling by the Bee Network at the East Didsbury tram stop.” The incident has caused shock in the local community, and investigators are working diligently to provide answers.
