Glen Powell, known for his roles in various films and TV shows, recently revealed that he “almost died” while filming an x-rated scene for the upcoming rom-com “Anyone But You,” where he stars alongside Sydney Sweeney. The film follows the characters as they navigate a complicated romantic situation after an unexpected reunion at a destination wedding.

Powell disclosed that the heart-stopping incident occurred during a scene where Sweeney’s character has to remove a large spider from inside Powell’s shorts. In the rush to film the x-rated moment, Powell found himself on the side of a cliff. As he hastily removed his shorts, the precarious setting added an unexpected layer of danger. Powell humorously reflected, “Nobody talks about that safety issue on set, where I almost died falling off a cliff taking my pants off too fast.”

Despite the safety concerns, Powell managed to complete the scene without any mishaps, allowing him to look back on the incident with humor and appreciation for the unique challenges posed by the shoot. The actor emphasized that the scene was “worth it” for the laughter and fun it brought to the film.

Sweeney, who was involved in the spider scene, shared her own challenges during filming. Apart from the scripted spider removal, she was bitten by the arachnid, adding an unexpected twist to the shoot. The entire scene, which involved close proximity between the two actors, took half a day to film.

“Anyone But You” is set to release on December 22, promising audiences a blend of romance and comedy. The behind-the-scenes challenges faced by Powell and Sweeney add an extra layer of intrigue to the upcoming rom-com.

As Glen Powell candidly shares his near-death encounter during the cliffside striptease, anticipation builds for the release of “Anyone But You.”
