Glastonbury unveils a powerhouse lineup with Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, and Neil Young’s surprise return.

Glastonbury 2025 is set to be an unforgettable spectacle as the legendary festival unveils its electrifying lineup. Headlining this year’s event are global pop icons Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, and The 1975, alongside music veterans Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts and Rod Stewart.

The announcement has sent fans into a frenzy, with festival-goers eagerly anticipating a mix of classic rock, indie anthems, and genre-defying performances. Joining the headliners are Doechii, Noah Kahan, The Prodigy, Alanis Morissette, Raye, and Biffy Clyro—each bringing their own distinctive sound to Worthy Farm.

The list doesn’t stop there. The 2025 lineup also includes Gracie Abrams, Shaboozey, Busta Rhymes, Brandi Carlile, John Fogerty, Wet Leg, PinkPantheress, St. Vincent, Father John Misty, Lucy Dacus, Weezer, and Nile Rodgers & Chic. More names are expected to be added, with speculation swirling that Sabrina Carpenter or even Rihanna might still make an appearance.

However, one of the most surprising turns of events came from Neil Young. Earlier this year, the rock legend announced he was pulling out of Glastonbury, criticising its corporate ties. But just two days later, he reversed his decision.

“Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury festival, which I have always loved,” Young explained on the Neil Young Archives. “Happily, the festival is back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing! Hope to see you there!”

Festival co-organiser Emily Eavis welcomed his return, writing on Glastonbury’s Instagram, “What a start to the year! Neil Young is an artist who’s very close to our hearts. He does things his own way, and that’s why we love him. We can’t wait to welcome him back here to headline the Pyramid in June.”

The 2025 edition of the festival will take place from June 25-29 at Worthy Farm in Somerset, England. Given the festival’s long-standing tradition, this year holds extra significance—it will be the last Glastonbury before the event takes a break in 2026.

Eavis confirmed the planned hiatus, stating, “The festival before a fallow year is always a fun one to plan because you almost have to fit two years into one.”

With such a stacked lineup and the promise of an all-out celebration before the festival’s brief pause, demand for tickets was through the roof. The initial batch sold out in November within just 35 minutes. For those still hoping to attend, a resale will take place in spring, though the exact date is yet to be announced.

Glastonbury 2025 promises to be an explosive mix of nostalgia, innovation, and high-energy performances—a festival not to be missed.
