Amen Teklay, a ‘funny and bright’ 15-year-old, was found seriously injured on a Glasgow street and later pronounced dead.
A murder investigation has been launched after a 15-year-old boy was fatally stabbed on a Glasgow street.
Amen Teklay was found with severe injuries on Clarendon Street around 10:30 pm on Wednesday. Despite efforts from emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Bright Young Life Cut Short
Tributes have poured in for Amen, described by friends and mentors as “funny, bright, and full of promise.”
Kingsway Community Connections, a youth centre Amen was involved with, expressed their devastation in a heartfelt statement.
“Amen was a beloved member of our youth group and film group,” they said. “He enjoyed playing football, loved pizza nights, and was a joy to be around. His sudden death has left us all shattered.”
The headteacher of St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School, where Amen was a student, also paid tribute, calling him a “much-loved young man with a passion for music and media.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Superintendent Cheryl Kelly urged the public to come forward with any information, emphasising that “answers lie in the community.”
“This is a tragedy,” she said. “Our priority is to get justice for Amen and provide support to his grieving family.”
Detectives are reviewing CCTV footage and appealing to witnesses or anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage to come forward.
Chief Inspector Colin MacLucas reassured local residents, stating:
“I understand the community will be deeply concerned. We have increased patrols and are working closely with investigators to establish the circumstances of this horrific crime.”
