Jinger Duggar and her husband Jeremy Vuolo were recently spotted enjoying a family outing with their rarely-seen kids.
Over the weekend, the Counting On star, known for her rebellion against her dad Jim Bob’s dress code, surprised fans by wearing an outfit that adhered to her family’s modesty rules. Jinger, aged 30, chose to wear a loose-fitting black dress that extended well below her knees as she strolled through their Los Angeles neighbourhood alongside her husband and children.
Completing her conservative look, Jinger paired the dress with sneakers and wore her hair in loose, natural curls. Her eldest daughter, five-year-old Felicity, accompanied her, dressed in a pink outfit.
Jeremy, aged 36, pushed their youngest child, three-year-old Evangeline, in a stroller. He opted for a casual appearance, donning a light blue button-up shirt for their morning walk.
Last week, Jinger once again challenged her family’s modesty guidelines by donning a revealing tank top in a new video. The Counting On alum frequently goes against her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle’s dress code, which restricts her from wearing revealing clothing.
On Friday, Jinger continued to defy her parents’ rules as she posted a video on her Instagram Stories. In the video, she wore a loosely-fitted brown tank top adorned with white flowers and had her long brunette hair styled in loose waves. She used this opportunity to promote the faith-based healthcare program Christian Healthcare Ministries, with which she has a close affiliation.
Jinger’s choice of attire didn’t come as a shock to her fans, as she has often been seen wearing outfits that wouldn’t meet her parents’ approval.
Breaking away from the rules, Jinger even wore tight jeans during a recent shopping trip earlier that same week. She shared a mirror selfie on her Stories, taken in the Nordstrom Rack dressing room, where she was trying on the jeans. She paired the jeans with a grey hoodie, New Balance sneakers, and her hair in a low ponytail.
Jinger has been vocal about her differing beliefs compared to her parents and many of her siblings. She criticised her upbringing as “cult-like” in her memoir, “Becoming Free Indeed,” released in January last year. Her words created a divide between herself and her family.
During the holidays, Jinger chose to spend her time visiting her husband Jeremy’s family in Pennsylvania, opting not to be with her parents. They also embarked on a ski trip to Canada, again without her family.
Having already moved away from her parents, Jinger and Jeremy have settled on the West Coast, relocating from Jinger’s home state of Arkansas to California with their two daughters. An insider shared that they are embracing a different lifestyle on the West Coast, raising their children in a more relaxed manner compared to how Jinger was brought up. While their stance on certain beliefs remains unchanged, they are more open to the diverse ways people choose to live their lives in LA, leading to a potentially more open-minded upbringing for their daughters.
