Authorities launched search operation after the suspect kidnapped the child from outside her home in Paharnang area
A shocking case of child abduction has rocked Faisalabad’s Paharnang area, as a domestic worker allegedly abducted his employer’s 8-year-old daughter. The suspect, identified as Hidayatullah, a resident of Kotli, reportedly lured the young girl, Zareesha, and fled on his employer’s bike.
The incident occurred when the girl was playing outside her home. According to Zareesha’s father, Maqsood Ahmed, the domestic worker took the opportunity to abduct his daughter, creating immediate panic in the neighbourhood. The authorities were alerted, and Maqsood immediately filed a complaint with the police.
In response, the police have registered a case and launched an intensive search operation to recover the child and capture the suspect. The case has raised alarm within the community, with local residents expressing their distress over the incident and offering support in the ongoing search.

The news of these incidents has heightened concerns regarding the safety of domestic workers and their potential involvement in criminal activities.
Meanwhile, in a separate case on Sunday in Faisalabad, four suspects involved in a gang-rape case were killed in a police encounter. The men, Zahid, Naveed, Islam, and Qasim, had been in police custody when they were being transported to Achkira village for recovery. Police reported that a group of armed accomplices attacked the police convoy near Ghulam Muhammadabad. In the ensuing shootout, the suspects were killed, and their accomplices managed to escape.
As the search for the abducted girl continues, authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. The community is rallying together in the hope of Zareesha’s safe return, and the case has sparked further discussions on the security of children and vulnerable individuals in domestic settings.
