Comedy world mourns the loss of The Office’s beloved ‘Big Keith’
Ewen MacIntosh, famed for his role as ‘Big Keith’ in “The Office,” has passed away at 50. His portrayal of Keith Bishop, an accountant with a love for scotch eggs and a dream of DJing, made him a fan favourite. Beyond “The Office,” MacIntosh’s talent shone in “Miranda” and “Little Britain.” Ricky Gervais, the show’s creator, hailed him as an “absolute original.”
Keith Bishop remembered for his monotone voice and love for scotch eggs, became iconic in “The Office.” Scenes like his Red Nose Day dress-up as Ali G and his hilarious performance review with David Brent, played by Gervais, are unforgettable. His “don’t know” replies and listing eczema as a weakness captured audiences. MacIntosh’s role expanded due to his scene-stealing ability, earning him a special place in the show’s history.

His agency announced a private cremation and a celebratory memorial service to honour his life and legacy.
