Elon Musk and Neuralink director Shivon Zilis quietly welcome their fourth child as their family expands
Elon Musk’s ever-growing family just got bigger. The billionaire tech mogul and Neuralink director Shivon Zilis have welcomed their fourth child together, marking Musk’s 14th known offspring. The news surfaced after Zilis took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the birth of their son, Seldon Lycurgus.
“Discussed with Elon, and in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus,” Zilis wrote in her post on Friday. She described him as “built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold.”
Musk, typically tight-lipped about his personal life, responded with a heart emoji but provided no further details. The child’s exact birthdate remains unknown.
A Growing Legacy
Musk and Zilis previously welcomed twins Strider and Azure in 2021. The two reportedly conceived their children through in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and are not romantically involved. Zilis, a top executive at Neuralink and a former employee at Tesla and OpenAI, has been a key figure in Musk’s tech empire.

The billionaire has frequently spoken about the dangers of a falling birth rate, once stating, “A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilisation faces by far.” His actions seem to reflect his words, with children from multiple partners, including Canadian singer Grimes and ex-wife Justine Wilson.
Musk’s Family Tree Expands
Musk has six children with his first wife, Justine Wilson, and three with Grimes. In February, conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair filed a legal petition to establish Musk as the father of her five-month-old child and sought full custody.
Despite the swirling speculation, Musk has yet to publicly comment on his growing number of children. With the birth of Seldon Lycurgus, one thing is clear—Musk’s influence extends far beyond the boardroom, with a legacy that continues to multiply.
