Tesla’s Cybertruck faces heat as owners uncover troubling issues – From bird droppings to body gaps
As the novelty of Tesla’s Cybertruck continues to captivate car enthusiasts since its late 2023 debut, owners are now raising concerns about a major design flaw that demands swift attention.
The latest buzz surrounds a directive in the Cybertruck owner’s manual, urging owners to act ‘immediately’ if certain substances, including bird droppings, tree sap, and dead insects, are found on the vehicle. The manual emphasizes the potential damage to the stainless steel body, prompting owners to take prompt action to prevent corrosion.
“To prevent damage to the exterior, immediately remove corrosive substances (such as grease, oil, bird droppings, tree resin, dead insects, tar spots, road salt, industrial fallout, etc.),” reads the Cybertruck’s manual, advising owners not to wait for a full wash and offering specific instructions for spot cleaning.

One user queried, “Wait, what? …Immediately wash off bird poop, dead insects, and tree resin? Is this a badass Cybertruck or a f–king cream puff?”
With winter exposing vehicles to road salt and summer bringing challenges like bird droppings and tree sap, owners express concerns about the practicality of the recommended care routine throughout the year.
The spotlight on the Cybertruck’s maintenance requirements follows a previous incident where an owner reported multiple issues with the vehicle after driving it for just 50 miles. Notably, misaligned panels and glitches in the turn signal control were among the concerns raised.
