Brooklyn Peltz Beckham publicly rejects reconciliation and accuses parents of media attacks
Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has publicly declared that he does not want to reconcile with his family, issuing his first direct response to months of speculation surrounding an alleged rift with his parents.
In a series of Instagram posts, the 26-year-old model and influencer accused his parents of repeatedly attacking him and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, through the media. He said the situation had reached a point where he felt compelled to speak out after years of silence.
“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth.”
Brooklyn stated unequivocally that he had no desire to repair the relationship. “I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he said, adding that he was not being controlled and was standing up for himself “for the first time” in his life.
The posts focused heavily on his relationship with his wife, whom he said had been “consistently disrespected” by his family despite attempts to unite. He accused his parents of trying to undermine their marriage, including allegations that his mother withdrew from making Nicola’s wedding dress at the last moment, forcing her to find an alternative.
At the time of the wedding, reports suggested Nicola had refused to wear a design by her mother-in-law, a claim she later denied. Brooklyn now alleges the situation caused distress and added to tensions that have persisted since.
He also described an incident during the wedding reception, claiming his mother interrupted the couple’s first dance by calling him to the stage and dancing with him instead of his wife. He said the moment caused embarrassment and distress, contributing to the couple’s decision to renew their vows privately in 2025 to create happier memories.
Brooklyn further alleged that weeks before the wedding, his parents pressured him to sign away rights to his name. He said he refused, claiming the decision affected financial arrangements and permanently altered how he was treated.
The influencer also addressed his absence from his father’s 50th birthday celebrations last May, an event that intensified public speculation about the family dynamic. He said he and his wife travelled to London but spent days waiting in a hotel while attempts to arrange private time were rejected.
According to his account, a meeting was only agreed on the condition that his wife was excluded, which he described as deeply hurtful. He added that further attempts to reconnect during a later visit to Los Angeles were also rebuffed.
At the time, a source suggested the couple skipped the party due to tensions involving another family member. Brooklyn’s statement disputes that narrative, alleging ongoing patterns of exclusion and manipulation.
He also accused his parents of prioritising public image and commercial interests over personal relationships. “Brand Beckham comes first,” he wrote, claiming family support was conditional on social media promotion.
Brooklyn said he had lived with overwhelming anxiety for much of his life, adding that stepping away from his family had brought relief. He alleged that his parents orchestrated private and public attacks through the press and claimed his younger brothers were encouraged to criticise him online before blocking him.
In December, his brother Cruz denied claims their parents had unfollowed Brooklyn on social media, stating they had instead been blocked.
The family has not publicly responded to Brooklyn’s allegations. Representatives for his parents have been contacted for comment.
