Bill Gates’ daughters, Jennifer and Phoebe Gates, pay tribute as he debuts his memoir Source Code

Jennifer and Phoebe Gates are celebrating their father, Bill Gates, as he embarks on a new literary journey with the release of his memoir Source Code. The billionaire tech mogul and philanthropist, now 69, has received heartfelt tributes from his daughters, who credit him for shaping their passions and careers.

Jennifer, 28, who is currently completing her medical residency at Mt. Sinai on the Pediatrics Research pathway, took to Instagram Stories to express her gratitude. “A big part of why I’m a doctor is because my dad has always instilled this belief in me that scientific advancements—be they AI ultrasound or a vaccine for malaria—are going to make the world a better place,” she wrote. “I’m grateful to Dad for his optimism, and I loved reading his book Source Code (out today!) on where it all began.”

Her younger sister, Phoebe, is 22, and she is preparing to launch her online fashion platform, Phia, they also celebrated their father’s milestone. She shared a series of photos with him, captioned, “Proud of this guy today,” along with a link to his newly published memoir.

Bill Gates, best known as the co-founder of Microsoft and one of the world’s leading philanthropists, reflected on his personal and professional journey while promoting his book. During an appearance on the Today show, he spoke candidly about his family and the lessons learned through his high-profile divorce from ex-wife Melinda. “Despite the fact that the divorce wasn’t great, having those three kids, the work we were able to do together—even if I knew that it [wouldn’t] last forever, I would still do it again,” he shared.

The Gates family, which includes son Rory, 25, and Jennifer’s two daughters, Leila and Mia, remain close despite the changes in their lives.
