Drew Barrymore shares a heartwarming moment as her and Adam Sandler’s daughters bond over 50 first dates.

Drew Barrymore recently shared an unexpected yet heartwarming moment—her daughters, Olive and Frankie, along with Adam Sandler’s daughter, Sunny, chose to watch 50 First Dates, the very film that cemented their parents’ legendary on-screen chemistry.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Barrymore recalled her surprise when the girls decided to revisit the beloved 2004 rom-com. “Sunny Sandler was over at our house the other day, and she, Olive, and Frankie put on 50 First Dates,” she said. “I was like, ‘Really? You guys want to watch this right now?’”

Despite her initial shock, Barrymore watched as the next generation of their Hollywood families immersed themselves in the story, all while she prepared popcorn after an exhausting three-hour Monopoly marathon.

“I just tripped out,” she admitted. “Sandler’s kid and my kids watching 50 First Dates together? It was surreal!”

Barrymore and Sandler’s friendship has spanned decades, producing some of Hollywood’s most beloved romantic comedies. Beyond 50 First Dates, they captivated audiences in The Wedding Singer (1998) and reunited again for Blended (2014), each time proving their undeniable on-screen charm.

Now, it seems their legacy is living on in the next generation. Whether it’s nostalgia or simply curiosity, their children’s choice to watch their parents’ love story unfold on screen is a reminder of just how timeless their work has become.
