Pop star and real estate broker part ways, settling financial terms
The marriage between pop sensation Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez has officially ended, with a Los Angeles Superior Court judgment finalizing their divorce. The couple, who tied the knot in May 2021 in a private ceremony at Grande’s California home, have agreed upon a settlement after Grande filed for divorce six months ago citing irreconcilable differences.
Under the terms of the settlement, Ariana Grande will make a one-time payment of $1.25 million to Gomez, alongside splitting the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles property. Additionally, Grande is set to cover up to $25,000 of Gomez’s legal fees, with no further alimony obligations.
The relationship between the 30-year-old singer and the 28-year-old luxury real estate broker began in early 2020, just as the world was grappling with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite their high-profile engagement and intimate wedding, the couple separated over a year ago, a move supported by a prenuptial agreement that facilitated a swift divorce process.
Dalton Gomez, a Southern California native, has built a decade-long career in the luxury real estate sector, as indicated on his AKG website profile. The couple initially caught public attention with their romance when they were spotted together in Los Angeles in February 2020, later confirming their relationship in Grande’s music video for “Stuck With U,” a collaboration with Justin Bieber.
Ariana Grande, a two-time Grammy Award winner, continues to make strides in her career, having recently released her seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine.” Additionally, Grande is set to appear in the much-anticipated film adaptation of the musical “Wicked,” where she will star as the good witch Glinda, alongside a cast that includes Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum. The film is slated for release in November.
This chapter marks another significant moment in Grande’s life, who has previously been impacted by tragic events, such as the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing following her concert, which resulted in the loss of 22 lives
