British-American influencers face extradition proceedings amidst denials of decade-old allegations

British-American online influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate have been detained in Romania on a British warrant issued by Westminster magistrates court, their PR representative confirmed. The arrest comes in response to allegations of sexual aggression dating back to 2012-15, which the brothers vehemently deny.

According to their PR team, the Tate brothers were taken into custody late on Monday night and await a decision from the Bucharest court of appeal regarding extradition proceedings. While residing in Romania, the brothers are already facing trial on charges of rape, human trafficking, and forming a criminal gang to exploit women, all of which they deny.

In a statement released by their spokesperson, the Tate brothers expressed disbelief and dismay at the revival of decade-old accusations without substantial new evidence. They reject all charges and criticize what they perceive as an exploitative use of the legal system. Despite the unsettling circumstances, they remain committed to challenging the allegations with determination and resolve, emphasizing their belief in a fair and impartial legal process.

Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer with a significant following on social media, has previously courted controversy and been banned from various platforms for expressing misogynistic views and engaging in hate speech.
