In a historic achievement, AlUla has become the first destination in the Middle East to receive accreditation from Destinations International, a renowned US-based organization. This milestone is part of the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP), which honours destination marketing organizations for their quality and professionalism. This prestigious AlUla tourism accreditation highlights the region’s commitment to excellence and sets a new standard for tourism in the Middle East.

Since opening its doors to visitors four years ago, AlUla has quickly established itself as a premier tourism site in Saudi Arabia. The region offers a variety of year-round events and hospitality options, drawing tourists from around the world. The accreditation comes just one year after AlUla joined Destinations International as the region’s first member, highlighting its dedication to excellence in tourism.

The certification process required AlUla to meet over 100 performance standards, showcasing its commitment to maintaining high standards in its tourism industry.
