Metropolitan police suspect Ezedi plunged into Thames following alkali attack 

In a startling turn of events, the Metropolitan Police have revealed that the prime suspect in the recent alkali attack, Abdul Ezedi, is believed to have taken a dramatic plunge into the River Thames.

The police’s primary theory suggests that Ezedi, aged 35, may have thrown himself into the river, although nobody has yet been recovered. This revelation comes amidst a frantic manhunt for Ezedi, who stands accused of dousing his ex-partner and her two young children with a potent alkali substance in Clapham, South London.

Ezedi, hailing from the Newcastle area, allegedly perpetrated the attack following the breakdown of his relationship with the victim, prompting concerns about his motive. The victims, including his ex-partner, are currently hospitalized, with the woman facing the possibility of losing sight in her right eye due to the severity of her injuries.

CCTV footage captured Ezedi’s movements prior to the incident, showing him exhibiting erratic behaviour near Chelsea Bridge before abruptly disappearing from sight. Detectives have meticulously reviewed the footage, leading them to speculate that Ezedi may have deliberately entered the river.

The Thames, notorious for its swift currents and treacherous conditions, poses a significant challenge for authorities attempting to locate Ezedi’s whereabouts. Commander Jon Savell expressed the grim possibility that Ezedi’s body may never surface due to the river’s formidable nature.
